This is to inform that Consular Services will remain temporarily closed at the Consulate General of India, Milan, until further notice. The Embassy of India, Rome remains open and all Indian nationals can avail urgent consular services from the Embassy. Consulate remains available for contact 24 x 7 at the emergency number +39 3881647527. The Consulate is in regular contact with the local Italian authorities and the Indian nationals residing in Northern Italy. We are closely monitoring the situation. Indian citizens are advised to follow the instructions and advice given by local Italian authorities. In case of any health emergency, you are advised to contact Italian Health Ministry hotline numbers 1500 or 112 . All Indian nationals are advised to refrain from non-essential travel and avoid being exposed to this virus. All are advised to follow preventive health measures such as (i) frequent hand wash (ii) to follow cough etiquettes (iii) keeping a distance of a meter from those who are coughing or sneezing (iv) avoid hand-shake as a gesture of greeting (v) avoid crowded places (vi) use masks while in public spaces and (vii) to self-monitor their body temperature twice daily. Latest Advisory: Travel and Visa restrictions related to COVID-19 1) In addition to Visa restrictions already in place, passengers travelling from/having visited Italy or Republic of Korea and desirious of entering India will need certificate of having tested negative for COVID-19 from the designated laboratories of these countries.
